ABOUT
ME
Hello, I'm Temi and I'm a writer from Lagos based in Amsterdam.
I grew up with a bookcase opposite my bed and when I was younger, every time I read a book the next story I wrote was almost identical. I continued reading and retelling until I could tell stories of my own. Now, I write articles, short stories, scripts, manifestos and occasionally ghost write tweets for my friends.
I love music, history, art and fashion. I am always daydreaming about something – right now it’s my short story collection and a short film about beauty and technology.
Moving into the beginning of my career, I want to use the writing voice I have been cultivating to create and develop innovative ideas. My goal is to communicate the messages of sustainability and inclusion meaningfully.

During my shadowing at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam in 2023, I made spec work for the fashion brand Telfar.
A black-owned and community focused brand took the fashion world by storm in 2020 and their shopping bags became a staple in wardrobes across the world.
The prompt for this project was to create copy for the brand as a whole and for an imagined two-toned shopping bag.
This deck includes a manifesto, social media headlines and scripts that recreate iconic pieces of black media.
